New Friends :)

Things have been getting better for me. A lot.

Amy, Jen, and Jordan have been very nice to me. I sit with them in every class now and in lunch. I really appreciate them. I am not particularly good at making new friends after coming to a new school, but this time is different. I'm so thankful for them :)

I'M BACK!!

I did say I would start updating after school started, didn't I?

(I'm a slacker no need to tell me)

Well anyways I should tell you about my new school!!! Just like at my old one I will not be using my friend's real names because I want to respect their privacy.



Kayla's First Day of the Last Year of Middle School
So it started out like everyone's first day. Pretty clothes, styled hair, etc. At least, that's how MY families first days are. I (thankfully) already knew three people. My brother, my friend Rose, and my cousin. Rose had on skinny jeans and a football sweatshirt. The definition of stylish and comfy. Meanwhile, I had on a frilly flowered dress with a blue cardigan, black flats, a pink flower in my hair, and my hair expanded with hairspray and mousse. I was not comfy. Anyways, just for good luck, I had my rainbow spikes bracelet on. All the seventh and eighth graders were in the gym, each student being assigned to a teacher. Thankfully, Rose and I were placed in the same homeroom. We had our classes, got to know what the school was like, and then it was time-for LUNCH!!! I'm just kidding it wasn't that bad. We walked into the small cafeteria, which was slightly filled with two grade.

Let me remind you of my old school for a minute, alright? You might be thinking, "you're overreacting there's no way your school is as small as you make it seem" and I guess you're right. But, my old school, with Ave, and Mic, and Liz, was a really big school. I'm not just talking maybe 100 kids per grade, I'm talking 1,200 students. Do you see where I'm coming from?

Anyways during lunch Rose and I basically just found a slightly empty table and sat in it. We were basically outsiders at that point, new people(I heard) rarely came to that school so we didn't know anyone. I mean, a couple people started small talk...

But that's really it.

I 'm in the mural and yearbook clubs... With Rose and Jen in mural and just Jen in yearbook.

So let me tell you about my friends. Overall, I have (I have so little that I can count on my fingers XD) a whopping total of...

Yeah, a real big number huh? My closest friend is probably Jen, or Rose, I can't decide since they are both really great people.

Here, I'll give you a tidbit about each person...

Jen~She has a really cute dog whom I take my dog for walks with
Amy~She is a bit older then me but has a really good fashion sense
Rose~She is quieter than me(and that says a lot)
Leigh~She is really tall
Rayna~She likes horses, and she was the first person to talk to Rose and I on the first day
Jordan~ I guess I could call him my friend but he's pretty annoying tbh


Yeah. I'm Miss Popular, huh?

Well anyways... its 9 now.

I like writing, what can I say?


To those reading, thank you. It really makes my day when I see people reading my blogs, I mainly post things to stop others from making the same mistakes as I do. (trust me, I make a lot)



But I should really thank you. I am alive and breathing, and that's all that matters...

Service and Gratitude Day!

Hi everyone! Friday(yesterday) was Service and Gratitude Day at Breakthrough. It was a regular day up until after recess, then it was all activities. I though it was really awesome how Breakthrough did all these crafts....


We made these bookmarks for the elderly people who can't get out of the house, we made a 6x6 quilt square to make one big quilt to give to a family who doesn't really have any necessities, and we wrote letters to the veterans/people who are still fighting. One of the teachers knows someone who is in the Navy, and we were video chatting him, we also got to ask him any questions we had. He had been in the Navy for 19 years.


I just thought it was really cool breakthrough did these things for the people in need.

But I have other stories I'll share with you Monday.


I'm going up North tomorrow so I won't be able to post.

But I will try and post every day!!

Went on a walk

So, yeah. I went on a walk. It was this really long road, my dad calls it the P road, even though it looks nothing like a P. It's called Horizon Lane. It took a long time, and it was 3 1/2 miles long. It was windy out, and it started raining on us.

Anyway....... I'm not in school yet. I don't really have any more stories until I start Breakthrough...

But I don't have any friends there (cry face)

But, I have no plans for the rest of the day, probably going to be on the couch the rest of the day until I go to my moms. I might build a fort. I don't know.

Well, I'll check in with you guys next time...

Oh yeah, before I go I wanted to tell you my summer schedule so you can know when I post. I always post at my dads house, usually not at my moms unless I bring my laptop there. But in the summertime I will be at my Dads on Monday(3:45) Tuesday, and Wednesday(I go back at 8 PM) and every other weekend(No Friday posts)

Hi everyone! I just finished posting in DIY Crafts and School and Life Hacks, so now I am going to post here! Before that I did my chemistry homework.

So, in Breakthrough we are working on using less "filler" words in our sentences, um, like, so, yeah are all examples of filler words.

So we had a competition to see who could say a story in a minute without using filler words, and we sent 2 representatives up to go. I was one of them. So next week, we have to talk in front of the whole program. Yay me.

I don't know why I shared that it just felt necessary.

Nothing interesting is happening in my life right now, maybe I'll post when something interesting happens.

So, as some of you may know, I will have started Breakthrough Manchester (Monday the 27th of June in case you guys didn't know ;)) and it takes a lot of work

Due to the amount of homework I have I am not able to post as often as I used to, I did post regularly, right...?

OK, sorry my dad made me get off my computer. Lets continue the story:

She waited for about 10 minutes. A couple kids were getting out of their cars. She was waiting for the bus at her school. The kids that were waiting with her had huge smiles plastered on their faces. She didn't recognize them from last year, so they must be new. After 15 minutes the yellow bus emerged from the road. Kay the three others stepped on. All the seats were taken, but she saw just one empty one. She grabbed it. After a 5 minute ride to the school, they arrived. She saw all the staff members and the few students that got there early waiting outside the building. They were all cheering the second they saw the bus. They made a "high five line" and each student high fived the staff members. The students found their advisors and put on their name tags.

Once they were inside Kay took a seat at her advisory's table. All the returning students did the Breakthrough cheers to start off the day. Kay did a simple one called Attitude Check which was basically hitting tables in a certain pattern.

After breakfast they all went to A Block. Kay had Chemistry. She sat in the class and played some get-to-know-you games. Same with B Block, C Block and D Block. Once it was time for lunch she had a PB+J sandwich. Then, she went to her art class and later an enrichment class. At the end of the day, she went to her advisory along with the two other students in her group

My Day

So, this post is going to take me a while because Phoebe (one of my cats) is laying on me....... so I am only able to type with one hand.

Oh Thank goodness! Phoebe finally got off me!


OK, so anyways I got out of school yesterday, thank goodness, and it wasn't as great as I thought it would be. I got a couple signatures in my yearbook, got all A's and one B+ on my final report card, but something was missing. I felt like, I don't really know the word.

It's that feeling where people are acting nice but you know they are actually faking, but they don't give any effort to cover it up. I don't know why I feel that way, I know some people do care about me but I just, I don't know....

Ave got dismissed early from school, so I was bored out of my mind!!

But anyway, I decided to do a little photoshoot with Ave and Liz in the park next to my school. The pictures look really good! I wish I could put them up here but I don't have my phone and they're on Facebook, maybe when I get my phone back and download the blogger app I will post them.

But I had Ave look off in the distance with her hair blowing back and I added a vintage setting to it and added a light flare

Another one there was a tall, thick tree and Ave was on one side and Liz on the other and snapped the picture that way. I added a contour setting and tweaked with the contrast and brightness. Lastly, I did one of Liz, she was sitting with her knees off to the side because she was wearing a dress and looking off to the side, but her hair couldn't really fly back because its short. I added a light flare in the bottom right corner and added a blue tint that brought out her eyes.

Ave and I agreed to make her birthday party Photography themed and I would be the a) photographer and b) the hair stylist. We are going to have a black and white theme, )because who doesn't love b+w?!) except Ave might have a colorful flower in her hair, to indicate that she is the birthday girl and to bring at least a little color into the picture. I might have the other girls wear colorful shoes, but I'm not exactly sure yet....

So anyway, Breakthrough is a summer program for "gifted children" to go to Monday-Friday from 8-3. Most people will probably react like this: "girl are you for real?! Another school?! That gives actual homework?! In summer???!!" but no, its more then that. Yes, they do teach. For rising 7th graders its Biology, Algebra, Writing, and Beginner Literature. For Rising 8th and 9th graders its Chemistry, Algebra 2, Writing and Literature. For Rising 10th and 11th graders its Trigonometry, Astrology, Advanced Writing, and Advanced Literature. For Rising 10th, 11th, and 12th you have the option to teach the others. That's what it is. Students teaching students. College students can teach too.


So, I just got my schedule, and one of my extracurricular courses is Video Editing!!! That's what I am looking forward to!!!!!!!!!!



Anyway, until that program starts I stay at home. But, that Saturday(the 25th of June) is my dance recital, that Sunday (the 26th of June) is Ave's birthday party, and that Monday(the 27th) is our first day! A weekend full of excitement!!!

So, for some of you today is the last day of school!!! The others, you'll get out eventually! But today has been AWESOME!! In the morning, I got a lot of candy from my advisor, and I got a ton of signatures from my classmates that I didn't think even liked me! They were all so nice to me!! Even a couple of my teachers signed too!!!

In science class we have been building rockets and we were supposed to fly them earlier today. But not a single one flew! I did get great pictures of my friends, I can't show you because of identity reasons. I did some touch ups on them, added vintage features and such.

But anyway, I'm not sure if we are doing anything else today, but I am going to enjoy it!!

I'm sure going to miss my friends next year, a whole new school, whole new friends.... But it's OK. I'm sure I'll make more. The kids in my neighborhood are so nice!!

This isn't about school anymore but I wanted to talk about my neighborhood.

I went out to get the mail (all the mailboxes are together) and a little girl probably my sisters age was riding her bike.

"Hi person I've never seen before"
"Hi!"
"Is that your cat and dog?" (I was walking Buster and Sophie was following me)
"Can I pet them?"

So she got off her bike and pet Buster.

So, tomorrow is the last day of school(thank god) and I couldn't be more excited. I found out we are getting ice cream delivered to us, getting our yearbooks, and watching the Outsiders all day long!!! Since this is one of my extracurricular class (Language Arts Essentials, kill me now) we don't have anymore work!! So, she is letting us play on computers all day today and tomorrow!!

So, as some of you know, it's National Best Friends Day, happy best friends day to all of you, and I am celebrating it with LAK(if you are new here its Liz, Ave and me, Kay.) But today, Ave starting eating Liz's chips while Liz was dealing with her chips. When Liz came back she yelled at Ave for "savaging on her lunch" and then sat at her exes table....?

Anyway, went we all went to our lockers, Ave said to Liz, "Well I guess we aren't friends because you hate me" and Liz said, "fine with me." I am literally so confused. Liz gave us permission to eat her chips, why was it such a big deal??

So our whole team went outside for enrichment, and Liz came up to us both and started pretending like nothing ever happened. We all went in the shade and hung out. 

So, again. Life is too short to waste time hating people.

Story

OK, so I am stealing this story from this blog, but I think it's really funny. So....


 In school, before the early bell everyone waits in a line based on their grade. So, Ave, Liz and I happened to be standing right in front of Mic. And Mic's posse. So, Liz is really-outgoing. She decided to go up to him and say "high five" and lifted her hand up. He turned to his friend CJ and whispered "not from you" then Liz screamed :OK YOU D*****BAG!" and his eyes widened and I felt sooooo bad for him. Ave must be publicly humiliated..... But I don't have a reputation to ruin next year BECAUSE I AM MOVING!!!! XD

AVE MADE A BLOG

Hey everyone, my best friend Ave(you all know about her massive crush Mic) made a blog. If you'd like to visit it, click this link.

So this is something I want to talk about, I have to talk about, I have been wanting to for a long time actually. And no, this is not going to be oh bullying is bad don't do it and all that good stuff. Now that you saw that half of you probably stopped, so anyways...

At school, these girls. There are an endless amount of them it seems. Some of them that are in my in class are: Vaeh, Ari, Eve, Nay and Jaz. They frustrate me so much. They are those type of people that act like they're popular. They think that everyone in the school worships them and think they are cool. But no one thinks that but themselves. They are bullies, they are mean girls. They think they can walk up to someone and just start playing with their hair because they can.

So today Vaeh came up to me in science class, (my only class with her thankfully) and starting stroking my hair. I immediately twisted around and said "can you not" and she looked me straight in the eye and said "I can do whatever I want" then turns around and flips the little hair she does have. Then she Ari and Eve all sit at the table with another girl who acts like she is super smart but is actually doing it just for show because

but anyway, they think she is actually smart, but they are going to be so disappointed when they found out that them using her is actually not the smartest idea. And at their grade on the final grade.

But anyway, even as much as I despise those girls, I still forgive them.

No, I don't forgive everyone right away, but eventually, yes, I do forgive everyone. Just give time time, and it will work its magic.

Everyone is human, so give them a chance. I know I am better then those people, because I will get something in life, my studying and being nice to people will get me somewhere. Being "popular" makes no difference how you do in life, and cheating will get you a bad job, or better yet, maybe even in jail. It's good to be a good person, it's good not to hold grudges. People that aren't like that, they aren't worth your time. Be yourself.

In 30 years it won't matter what jeans you wore,
or what shoes you bought
or what stores you shopped at
or what kind of makeup you wore.

What will matter is your grades, and the fact that you were nice to people. Turn over a new leaf, go into the next day thinking, "I am me." and you be you! You go!

Life Lesson: Life is to short to waste time hating people.


And just for the record, no I am not turning into some overly positive you go girl type of blogger lol. I am a teenager, I will be for a while. so I am going to enjoy it. And no I am not going to become some sort of emo girl, no offense. I will be me :)

Story

I'm back with another story! This one is a little funnier though.

So Ave has a mega crush on a kid named Jack Frost, she has for about three months. So one day while I was absent(if you know someones birthday you know their school email password) decided to send him a message from my account. Here is what they read:

Ave: My brother ******* ****** knows someone who has a major crush on you. Not to creep you out or anything but....... That's what he said.I think she's on the track team. Don't know her name though. Sorry for the weird email........

The way you can get peoples emails is by hitting the "compose" button and then you search their ID or name. She pointed you out to me and I said "Oh I think I know what his name is." then I said "I'll talk to him for you" then she said "No don't!" but I did anyways sooooo...... Sorry if I creeped you out........

Walk Against Hunger

So, yesterday, my school and every other middle and high school in our district does a Walk Against Hunger. Check out that page and everything about the Walk here and you might have to scroll down a little bit. But overall, my school raised 6,500 dollars!! We did an awesome job! I walked 6.3 miles and raised over 300 dollars alone. What made me a little angry was that a lot of the girls that think they are popular stopped and sat near a tree and braided each others hair and PAINTED THEIR NAILS. Ave, Liz and I are called LAK, that's just our personal little group name.

I would show you guys the back of it but I'm still wearing it. Anya\way, I encourage you all to do some good for your communities, like do your own Walk Against something! Get a clipboard and a pencil and get started! Or, just set up a lemonade stand or play music and donate it to charity.

HOLY INACTIVENESS

Hey everyone! You will not believe what happened that caused me to be inactive. Well, the second part is unbelievable, the first, not so much. So, my laptop has been broken for a while and yes I have posted it on my other blog which you can read here and here. Turns out, just from going on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, 71 yes, you read that correctly 71 viruses were on my laptop. Yeah that's the believable part. The other two weeks while my laptop was fixed by my Computer IT uncle, I got

suspended

yeah, that's the unbelievable part. Why? You ask? I'll tell you why.

So, we were doing a practice essay, but my teacher told us whoever didn't finish would get detention. So, me being a good friend wanted to help my extremely-slow-when-she-types friend Ave(that's a nickname) with finishing it. So, she handed me her rough draft and I typed her ALREADY WRITTEN rough draft into the computer and got suspended for 2.5 days. The rest of 5/13/16, 5/15/16 and 5/16/16 but my parents grounded me for two weeks. But I'm back!!

Anyway, guess who stopped by my house this afternoon?

That's right, you read correctly.

The same Jenny that has been picking on me since Eighth Grade.

She went on saying "I missed you so much" and "I shouldn't have done that to you"

Then she was like. "K was a really bad influence on me."

And the only reason she came crawling back to me, is because K MOVED.

So I told her, "nope. You tormented me for 4 years, now it's your turn" and walked away.

Pretty cool, huh?

I aim not weak anymore!
